J-HE! (pronounced “Jay-High”) is an independent Alternative Rock artist from California. Now based in Boston, MA, she blends sharp-edged pop with raw rock power in a way that feels both nostalgic and next-gen. Think Lily Allen’s cheek, Avril Lavigne’s punch, and Katy Perry’s hook sensibility—but with her own fiercely original, emotionally-driven voice.
Currently a dual major in Music Production & Engineering and Music Business at Berklee College of Music, J-HE! is more than just an artist—she’s a full-on creative force, writing, recording, producing, and promoting her music independently, while working collaboratively with selective producers. Her work tackles themes of mental health, self-worth, and resilience, often pulling from her own experiences navigating mental illness and personal transformation. Her mission is simple: to give a voice to those who feel like they don’t have one.
Her upcoming album, Stars in My Constellation, is a sonic rollercoaster that charts everything from heartbreak and self-doubt to rebellion and self-love. Singles like “Just Fine” and “Ended Up in Hell” showcase J-HE!’s ability to make pain catchy and catharsis cool. “Just Fine,” in particular, has been described as “raw testimony delivered without the safety nets of metaphor or abstraction… a track that excavates the performance of wellness with unflinching precision” by a recent article analyzing its social commentary and emotional progression.
Whether she’s whispering confessions or screaming choruses, J-HE! lets her lived experience lead the way. The production is dynamic—climbing from intimate verses to explosive climaxes and back again—mirroring the internal tension of putting on a brave face while breaking inside.
Beyond the music, J-HE! is a bold performer and visual storyteller. She directs her own music videos, creates her merch, and brings her world to life on stage with magnetic energy and an unfiltered spirit. She’s also an entrepreneur, managing her own brand and campaigns, and continuously building connections with fans who feel seen through her music.
If you’ve ever had a moment where your brain was your worst enemy, J-HE! has written the soundtrack to it—and maybe the anthem that’ll get you through.
